The Pen is not Mightier than the Lipstick

Anna:  Can I write my spelling words on the bathroom mirror in lipstick?

Me:  What?

Anna:  It’s for practice tonight – one of our options.

Me:  Sure.

We had to e-mail this photo to the teacher as “proof of homework.”  I love her.

Pen and paper is for bitches y’all.

What’s the most unusual homework assignment you or your kids have had?

  1. Things have changed a lot since I attended school. Last time someone I know wrote with lipstick on a mirror, they spelled the words: redrum redrum redrum and then Johnny went insane…

    1. This comment made me laugh out loud!

    2. I admit it made me wonder about some of the other households in our ‘hood. There’s probably going to be that one kid who didn’t ask permission, pulled out the mom’s favorite Dior lipstick, and went to work on the mirror. That family may be required to send in a “proof of life” photo…

      1. Hahahaha…Proof of life photo… bawahahhahaha

Once my children had to watch either a movie or a series and count how often the characters where swearing, how often they where violence scenes etc.

    1. Interesting! How old were the kids? Were you surprised by their findings?

It was my 12 year old daughter who did the “tv-homework”. Well I let her watch a “Shameless” episode, but one without a sex scene! And she said, that is all made up, isn’t it? And I said, unfortunately families/persons like this exist all around the world…

      2. Omg I love Shameless! It’s such a hot mess – I’m riveted! I’m surprised you could find an episode that didn’t have some kind of nudity or sexual content ha!
